چکیده
By WILLIAM KERPPOLA, M.I).* P HOSPHATASE can be demonstrated in tissues by means of reliable histochemical methods. Such a method! w’as described for alkaline phosphatase in 1939 by Gomori,#{176}’ and in the same year by Takamatsu.2 Two years later Gomori#{176} described his method for demonstrating acid phosphatase. The principle on which these methods are based is to incubate slices of tissue with glycerophosphate ; the phosphate is then liberated by phosphatase. The phosphate is converted through calcium chloride into calcium phosphate, and through a soluble cobalt or lead compound into the corresponding phosphate. This is precipitated w’ith ammonium sulfide as black-brown cobalt sulfide or black lead sulfid!e. The former is used for d!emonstratmg alkaline phosphat.ase, the latter for localizing acid phosphatase. Previous studies of blood and bone marrow’ by this technic have been few’ in

بررسی اثر داروی ضد سرطانی پومالیدومید بر فعالیت حیاتی و القای آپوپتوز سلولهای تک هستهای مغز استخوان
Background and Objective: Pomalidomide - a combination of Lenalidomide and Thalidomide drugs- is one of the newest anticancer drugs. Pomalidomide induces apoptosis in cancer cells. Furthermore, few studies indicating its relatively low cytotoxic effects on normal peripheral blood cells have been carried out. However, there is yet no information about the effects of Pomalidomide on bone marrow c...
متن کاملتأثیر فراوردۀ گیاهی SIM5 بر سلولهای مونونوکلئر جداشده از مغز استخوان بیماران مالتیپلمیلوما
Background and Objective: Cancers are among the serious problems in communities. In recent years, herbal products have been very promising regarding their anti-tumor and immunomodulatin potentials. SIM5, a herbal preparation, has had good results in discriminating between cancerous cell lines and normal cells, but have not examined directly on patients cells yet. In this study, bone marrow mono...
متن کاملThe Consequence of Vitamin E Exposure on In Vitro Cadmium Toxicity in Rat Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells
This investigation aimed to examine the protective function of vitamin E on rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) treated with cadmium chloride. Rat bone marrow MSCs were extracted using flashing-out and cultured in DMEM containing 10% FBS and 100 U/ml Pen/Strep. At the end of the third passage, cells were divided into 4 groups including control, cadmium chloride, cadmium chloride + vit...
متن کاملRat Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cell Differentiation to Insulin Producing Cells and Evaluation their Responses in Vitro and in Vivo
Background In recent years, many researchers haveattempted to cure diabetes by using stem cells technology. Stem cells from different sources have capabilityto differentiateinto insulin producing cells (IPCs) by different methods. The obstaclesof these methods aretheirexpensive materials and complexity ofmethodswhichare practicallydisadvantagesfor producing enough transplantableIPCs that can ...
متن کاملReview of Effect of Storage Time before Freezing on Stem Cells Surveillance, Collected from Cord Blood, Peripheral Blood and Bone Marrow
Introduction: The use of cord stem cells, as a cell source for bone marrow reconstruction in patient under hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is enhancing. The amount of CD34+cells collected from cord blood compared to peripheral blood and bone marrow are less, but their collectionprocesure is easier. Delay in freezing has negative effect on cells surveillance and reduce their ability in ...
